How to turn one listing shoot into a week of posts
By K · · 6 min read
You paid for photos, and maybe a video. Most agents post them once, as one big album, and move on. That is a whole week of content used up in one day.
Here is a simple plan to turn one listing shoot into 7 posts. You don't need new photos. You only need to share what you already have in smaller, clearer pieces.
Before you start
Gather these in one folder:
- All the listing photos (20 to 30 is plenty)
- Any video, even a simple phone walkthrough
- The key facts: price, size, bedrooms, bathrooms, and 3 features you like most
- 2 or 3 nearby places worth mentioning: a park, a café, a transit stop
Write one short caption style and keep it all week. For example: one bold first line, two or three short lines of detail, then one clear next step.
The 7-day plan
Day 1: Just listed
Post your best outside photo with the price, the area, and the 3 key facts. End with one clear step, like "Send me a message for a viewing."
Day 2: Short video tour
Post a 30 to 45 second Reel or Short. Start with the best room, not the front door. Add captions, because many people watch without sound.
Day 3: Room by room
Post a carousel of 5 to 6 photos, one room each. Give each photo one line, like "Morning light in the kitchen" or "Space for a home office."
Day 4: The neighborhood
Show what is nearby: the park, the café, the walk to the train. Describe the place, not who should live there. That keeps your post friendly and within fair housing rules.
Day 5: Behind the scenes
Share a photo from prep day, staging, or the photo shoot itself. People like seeing the work behind a listing, and it shows how you take care of sellers.
Day 6: The detail people miss
Pick one feature buyers might scroll past: built-in storage, a new roof, a quiet street. Give it its own post with one close-up photo.
Day 7: The next step
Post the open house details, or a simple "Still available. Message me to book a viewing." If it sold, change this to a "Just sold" post and thank everyone who helped.
Reuse it once more
At the end of the week, use the same photos and lines in your monthly email to past clients. Most agent business comes from people who already know you, so this email can matter as much as the posts.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Posting every photo at once. People scroll past big albums. Small pieces get more looks.
- Videos without captions. Add short text on screen so the video works on mute.
- No next step. Every post should end with one clear action.
- A new style every day. Keep the same caption style all week so the posts feel like a set.
